Joseph Brooks Academy Award Winning Song Writer Commits Suicide
Joseph Brooks, who wrote the 1970s hit song "You Light Up My Life," was found dead the afternoon of May 22nd from an apparent suicide, NYPD deputy commission Paul Browne told CNN. He was 73.
Brooks was awaiting trial on 2009 charges of allegedly raping 11 young actresses, according to the New York Daily News. He was charged with 82 counts of sexual abuse.
